Peyer’s patches = Collections of lymphoid tissue that are located in the mucosa of the small intestine. They have an outer epithelial layer consisting of specialized epithelial cells called M cells. Peyer's Patches (PPs) consist of a dome area, B cell follicles and interfollicular T cell areas. High endothelial venules are present mainly in the interfollicular areas
