Infant Formulas contain only traces of oligosaccharides, leading to microbiome differences between breastfed and formula-fed infants. Bovine milk oligosaccharides (BMOs) are a rich source of sialylated oligosaccharides, especially 3'-sialyl lactose (3'-SL) and 6'-sialyl lactose (6'-SL).
