The primary producers of Chemokine (C-X-C motif) ligand 9 (CXCL9) include: Epithelial Cells (under inflammatory conditions), Endothelial Cells (under inflammatory conditions), Macrophages (under inflammatory conditions), Fibroblasts (under inflammatory conditions), certain types of tumor cells, lymphoid cells. These cells produce CXCL9 in response to specific cytokines, particularly Interferon Type II (IFN Type II) / Interferon Gamma (IFN-g), which is a critical inducer of CXCL9 expression in various cell types.
