Myosin light chain 9 (Myl9) is a functional ligand for CD69. Myl9 is predominantly found in platelets and is released following platelet activation. The interaction between CD69 and Myl9 is crucial for the migration of activated Th cells into inflamed tissues, such as those found in asthmatic lungs.
