Text for Translation:

The h2-m2 (mhc-I) gene is a member of the murine (mouse) major histocompatibility complex (MHC) class Ib gene family. It encodes an MHC class I molecule, but unlike classical MHC class Ia genes (such as H2-K, H2-D in mice), H2-M2 is considered a non-classical or class Ib gene. These class Ib genes are typically less polymorphic and have more specialized or restricted immune functions compared to the highly variable classical class Ia genes.
