A group of adult volunteers participated in a study to see how yogurt with Bifidobacterium longum BB536, known as Bifidus yogurt, affects the gut. Researchers looked at things like the types of bacteria in the gut, ammonia levels, and the color, consistency, and frequency of bowel movements. Bifidus yogurt is made by fermenting milk with Bifidobacterium longum BB536, Streptococcus thermophilus STH-450, and Lactobacillus delbrueckii bulgaricus LBU-108.
