A significant characteristic of Primary mediastinal B-cell lymphoma (PMBCL) is the presence of the 9p24.1 rearrangement, which results in the overexpression of immune checkpoint molecules CD274 (Programmed death-ligand 1 (PD-L1)) and CD273 (Programmed cell death 1 ligand 2 (PD-L2)).
