T cells are considered the masters of inflammation due to their ability to differentiate into various pathways that either promote or suppress the inflammatory response. However, their fate is influenced by interactions with other cells, such as dendritic cells.
There are three relevant targets on T cells: CD28, CD152 (Cytotoxic T-Lymphocyte-Associated Protein 4 (CTLA-4)), T-Cell Receptor (TCR)
