There are CD4+ Cells / T Helper Cells, gamma/delta T cells, significant numbers of IL-17-producing T cells and RAR-related Orphan Receptor Gamma/T (ROR-gamma/t) Isoform 2 (NR1F3)t + Foxp3 + Colonic Treg cells

The lamina propria is a mucosal immune system containing immune cells from both innate and adaptive immunity. It lies as an inner part under the epithelium allowing for intense communication between the immune cells in the lamina propria and the IECs.
The lamina propria is composed of numerous macrophages and neutrophils, along with a smaller quantity of NKT cells, mast cells, and immature dendritic cells. The lamina propria contains a certain number of mature alfa/beta T cells and B cells / B Lymphocytes, along with a few gamma/delta T cells .
Lamina propria is made up of stromal cells (myofibroblasts), B cells / B Lymphocytes (especially IgA-producing Plasmablast / Plasma cells), T cells, macrophages and DCs
